The Art of Focus in Modern Life
If you are not spending time on things that matter most in your life, all trivial things will step in.
Success is a result of a maniacal focus on what is most important for oneself. One of the reasons for limited success in achieving goals is because that "madness" is not seen in going after the goals. If one decides something is most important for them in life, then the time spent should reflect the importance given to that goal.
It is easy to get lost in trivial things if that focus is not put into the primary goal. The situation should be like an unstable equilibrium - you come back to your natural state as soon as the external impulse is exhausted. Put in another way the subconscious focus in on the primary goal; the mind then will force you to work on it despite being in the midst of distractions. If such a tremendous focus is not available, it is easy to get lost in too many things that are ever ready to seep into your life. Whether it be watching TV, chatting way your time or taking up obligations - they are all waiting to pounce upon you and grab your time!
