Consistency is key to a successful life and also leads to a peaceful state. Eating, sleeping, reading, meditating, working out are the key activities that need this consistency.
While we travel, the most affected is this daily routine, causing us to lose the balance. One feels very lazy through the day and is mistaken about this laziness as feeling relaxed. In fact if one is relaxed one should feel a surge of energy within. Then how is it relaxing when we feel lazy all day!
We could replace one type of food with another, one type of physical exertion with another, but not load up on our senses and think we are relaxing!
One of the key distractions is the influence by co-travelers, whether it be colleagues, family members or friends…all insisting we follow their plans and activities.
Some amount of solitude is key to restoring our balance during such situations! This will at least help us on key daily routine activities like reading and meditating. It's also quite useful to retire early and be an early riser to take advantage of the undisturbed time of the day.
